below.
J042: Software Engineer
This position is for a computer scientist or computer engineer with
expertise in system and application-level programming in Windows
environments. The candidate must be familiar with tools and environments
for developing applications ranging from graphic user interfaces to
distributed networked applications. The candidate must be familiar with
proven software engineering methods that lead to high quality designs and
implementations. Versatility is a key attribute for the ideal candidate,
as tasks from one project to the next can vary greatly. Candidates should
possess a BS, MS, or PhD degree in computer science or computer
engineering, and at least 2 years (preferably five) of directly related
experience. Applicants must possess US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
Highly experienced candidates may be considered for a position as Senior
Software Engineer.
J043: Electronics Technician
Electronics technician for bench assembly, testing, and
debugging at the component level. Must be able to read and understand
schematics, have a solid understanding of basic electronic theory and good
soldering/desoldering skills. Products being developed require
certification (e.g. FAA, MIL-SPEC, etc.) hence adhence to quality control
procedures is essential. Experience with lab instrumentation
(oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc.) is highly
desirable. Good communication skills and basic computer skills are highly
desirable. Applicants must possess US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
J101: Wireless Sensor Network / Pervasive Computing Engineers
ERS has recently been awarded several research and development grants
to apply state-of-the-art research to the development and deployment of
real pervasive computing applications. Application areas include
environmental monitoring, machine health and diagnostics, inventory
tracking, distributed control and automation, physiological monitoring,
and battlefield intelligence. Candidates with experience in any area
related to wireless sensor networks or pervasive computing (including
embedded software and hardware engineers, telecommunication engineers,
sensor developers, MEMS experts, etc.) or with significant knowledge in
the above-mentioned application areas are encouraged to send their resume
and a cover letter that describes their main area of interest within this
exciting emerging technology domain for consideration. Applicants must
possess US Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
J999: Independent Contractor/Consultant
ERS occasionally has the need for independent consultants or
contractors to meet short-term (days to months) contract needs. Areas of
need include embedded software, digital design, telecommunications, analog
design, wireless communications, mechanical engineering, control systems,
technical writing, and other related areas. ERS welcomes resumes that will
be kept on file for six months. Anytime such a position is available,
qualified contractors will be contacted directly via email to determine
interest and availability in the particular position. If you have
established hourly contract rates, please include in your resume or cover
